Jon and Ray live aboard their sailboat Swell Seeker with their miniature poodle, Nalu and now their baby boy, Malakai has joined the crew! After a challenging day of free-diving and spearfishing that ended with a prized grouper, they decided to commemorate the catch by printing it on canvas on the back of their boat—honoring the fish and preserving what they like to call “the Fish Story". Jon and Ray blend the traditional methods of Gyotaku with modern techniques opting to use canvas for all of their originals instead of paper. They realized they weren't the only ones that wanted to commemorate a great fish story and began printing fish for friends as well and have even printed a World Record Dog Snapper in the Bahamas. That was the beginning of Swell Seeker Fish Prints! They also started creating reproductions of their original pieces so that more people can enjoy the beauty of an original at an affordable price.
